This could be called a magnum opus blogpost.

What you call 'pause' I call 'silence' or 'stillness'. Even a mild illness that takes me out of the loop for while seems worth being sick.

You know, it isn't really about reflecting so much, but allowing that inner wise being back into your life by effortlessly letting go for awhile.

Excellent writing, Colin.

I was only telling someone yesterday about the DOTS in my life..and how YOU were one of my inspirations. My journey too begins with a period of reflection and me time...looking forward to seeing you on the road or at the beach ! Big Hug

Hi Alan,
Yes, mentors play such an important role in our lives. We don't always see it at the time but on reflection its plain to see. Thanks for leaving us with your experience. Speak soon.

Hi Shereen,
Great to hear a rogenSi programme gave you a mind overhaul and helped you bring more consciousness to your work life. To be conscious is to understand our circumstances, and decide to respond to them in ways that honour our needs, values and goals. This, as you say, is not always easy to do, especially in the business world. I wish you great success as you take up that challenge. Thanks for saying hello.

The big one for me is number 2 and having mentors in your life. As I reflect on my journey, I realise that they not only showed me how but they also provide moral signposts along the way............

Thank you so much for sharing this insight Colin. I can absolutely relate. It's been a decade now into my 'corporate' career but I've been fleeting from one thing to the next unrelated thing trying to find my purpose..it wasn't until I went through a rogenSi program a couple of years ago that I felt my mind completely overhauled and I started to 'consciously' approach my work life. The struggle now is trying to face the reality that being "real" isn't always what's valued in the corporate arena. Lots of food for thought. Thanks again :-)

Thanks Kenny. If I'm honest I was worried about highlighting my values but glad I did. Thanks for dropping in.
